NNIR hosted a career workshop with Kojo Modeste, the Executive Director of Pride Toronto. In this engaging session, Kojo shared insight and hands-on approaches on how to advance their careers by utilizing existing skills, navigating difficult professional situations, and seizing on new opportunities.
Kojo’s experience and personality provided the participants with a variety of information and motivation, making the workshop a significant step in their professional development. The session was well-received by participants highlighting the importance of mentorship and guidance in achieving successful careers.
In conclusion, Kojo concluded the discussion with a powerful Sankofa proverb: “Return and get it.” a proverb that highlights how much can be learned by reflecting on the past and gathering practical lessons to apply in the future to ensure success.
