WHO WE ARE...

Please join us in making a positive difference in the lives of Black Immigrants and Refugees.

Who We Are?

Our Story

What began as a small newcomer support group grew into the National Network for Immigrants and Refugees - Canada (NNIR), a Black-led Refugee youth organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Black Immigrants and Refugees in Canada. We understand the unique challenges our community faces and our commitment lies to delivering continuous, hands-on programming and services in Advocacy, Community Engagement, Education and Cultural Competence.

Our Mission

We are committed to providing tailored support, opportunities and resources to empower Black Immigrants and Refugees.

Our Vision

We aim to create an inclusive community where Black Immigrants and Refugees can thrive, belong and fully contribute to society.

Our Core Values

Youth Leadership

We believe in youth leadership to create positive change and be the platform through which we will see future change in our communities.

Inclusivity

We embrace diversity and work to create inclusive spaces—spaces where the voices of all individuals are welcomed and valued.

Empowerment

We believe in giving people the ability to take control of their lives and destiny.

Equity & Integrity

We believe in and strive for fair treatment and equal opportunity for all newcomers.

We maintain the greatest levels of integrity, honesty, transparency, and accountability in all of our work.
