We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the National Network for Immigrants and Refugees-Canada (NNIR), a Black-led Refugee youth organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Black Immigrants and Refugees in Canada under the theme “Built for Us, By Us”.
“This network is a shining example of what can be achieved when communities come together to address their own needs,” – Speaker of House of Commons, Hon Greg Fergus.
At the National Network for Immigrants and Refugees-Canada, we are committed to empowering Black Immigrants and Refugees by providing them with the resources and support they require to thrive in Canada. One of our key objectives is to eliminate barriers to justice through providing access to essential legal information and settlement support.
NNIR hosted a career workshop with Kojo Modeste, the Executive Director of Pride Toronto. In this engaging session, Kojo shared insight and hands-on approaches on how to advance their careers by utilizing existing skills, navigating difficult professional situations and seizing on new opportunities.
We champion the principles of equality and inclusion. Our mission is to dismantle barriers and create a world where every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to the resources and opportunities necessary for a dignified life.
We are dedicated to transparency in our operations and finances, ensuring that our supporters can trust that their contributions are making a genuine impact.
Collaboration is at the heart of our mission. We actively seek partnerships with like-minded organizations, governments, and individuals to amplify our collective impact and address complex challenges.
Embracing innovation allows us to find creative and effective solutions to evolving issues. We continually explore new approaches to maximize the reach and effectiveness of our programs.
At NNIR, we believe in transparency and accountability. Our commitment to making a positive impact is reflected in the numbers, demonstrating the real and tangible difference we collectively make in the lives of those we serve.
We prioritize efficient fund allocation, ensuring the majority of funds directly benefit our programs and initiatives.
We are committed to sustainable impact that goes beyond immediate relief. Through strategic initiatives, education, and capacity-building, we aim to create a ripple effect, ensuring that positive changes endure for generations to come.
Our organization truly believes that we can achieve more goals than ever before by working together as a black community in Canada.
